Building Trust

Every year, as coaches and facilitators, we enter into building new relationships with our Find Your WHY students. It is important for our students to know and understand our respect for them and for their time.

Our students live full lives. Many of them are involved in ASB, FFA, sports, music and supporting their individual school booster clubs. Our goal for our students is to provide meaningful learning experiences within the coaching context and our seminars. Our hope is that their learning will bring value to their personal lives, school experiences and beyond for their future college, work and career choices.

As our time together is limited and the window of opportunity to build trust with our students is critical, we are intentional in these four areas:

1.     Respect

We respect our students in who they are and the time they are giving to the FYW program. We do our best to work around complicated schedules. We always find a way to make time for coaching or for our seminars.

2.     Connect

We look for ways to connect with our students by knowing some of their family and personal story, their personality traits and the extra-curricular activities they are involved in. We thoroughly enjoy getting to know our students and we are always curious to ask good questions.

3.     Guide

We are intentional in giving supportive direction to complete coaching and seminar projects and information. Our purpose is to support their learning and guide them to discover more about themselves and who they want to be.

4.     Growth

We always want growth and to support our student’s progress. We know we cannot create progress for them and yet, we can provide the tools and resources to assist their choices to grow and develop. We are always available to them and encourage them in what they need for learning purposes.

We are grateful for our 2022 / 2023 New Year with our Find Your WHY students. We’re off to a great start and look forward to an amazing year.
