Every Generation Brings Meaning and Value

A COMMUNICATION BLUEPRINT

At work or within your own family system, reflect on the generations around your conference or dining room table.

Is there a representation of ONE GENERATION, TWO GENERATIONS, THREE GENERATIONS or possibly, FOUR GENERATIONS?

TC&A has been asked by several leaders in the professional work space to write about and give support to “Generational Communication.” Their request comes from a valid question,

“How do I effectively communicate with the older and younger generation?”

When we hear this question, we are curious, as well. At the same time, we remember – “We are the younger generation to an older generation.” This makes us smile and reflect on our focus for our TC&A November newsletter, “Every generation brings meaning and value.”

As Chelsea and I coach within various industries and within a range of roles and responsibilities from business owners, C-levels to Managers, one of the number one focus’ within our dialogue of leadership coaching is, EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION. In fact, TC&A recently hosted THE LEADERSHIP EXCHANGE for our Santa Clarita Valley Community with a focus on building EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION.

It seems appropriate with the holiday season approaching and beginning with Thanksgiving in our households and moving into all of the December celebrations at work and between family and friends, “A Communication Blueprint” can be supportive. As you navigate different personalities, life and educational experiences, distinctive gifts and talents personally and professionally, unique preferences and stories, and overall diverse relationships within your work and personal life, we can all use support when communicating.

What will utilizing the “Communication Blueprint” do for you and ALL of your professional and personal relationships? It will build TRUST. Every Generation Brings Meaning and Value and deserves the opportunity to build TRUST with one another.

How DO we navigate ALL of the diversity, distinctive and unique differences? Our simple  response is, “Every generation brings meaning and value.” The more complicated response is, “our communication does need to be more intentional and understanding of differences.”

We believe, there is more opportunity to create strong and lasting relationships when we build, “A Communication Blueprint.”

Here are FOUR KEY MINDSETS that will support a positive “COMMUNICATION BLUEPRINT” for EVERY GENERATION:

As TC&A brings our Leadership Coaching to our clients over the Holiday Season and, as we welcome our extended family from New York City, Northern and Southern California, we too, are dedicated to practicing and implementing  the “Communication Blueprint.” It is important to us, as we continue to build our communication and trust within three generations.

We are grateful for you and for the opportunity to serve you, support you and provide coaching to help you grow as a person and as a professional, with your team and within your community.

We always want the best for you,

Tess & Chelsea
