Outcomes To Influence

What Motivates You?

What Motivates You?

We are mindfully aware of the devastation, loss of life, loss of homes and businesses that the fires in California, Oregon and Washington have created.

We are thoughtfully aware of the difficulties that Covid-19 has brought to our lives and the way we do business.

We are considerate of the continued choices, decisions and processes that you face daily.

Motivation may be the last thing on your mind. And yet, motivation can be the very thing that gets you up in the morning, embracing a new day and setting your mind and intentions to what you can control – Your attitude and your actions.

During this time…we stand with you as you process, reflect and think about how you can STRENGTHEN YOUR MOTIVATION in and thru to the end of this year. We know it can be hard, challenging and at times, daunting…

We are enjoying the one-on-one Coaching experiences with each one of our students. They have completed their first written assignment - “Message In A Bottle”. Their message communicates to their parents, foster parent or mentor what they have learned about their personality (who they are) from their Myers/Briggs Personality Assessment.

Building RELATIONSHIPS is one of the most important aspects of who we are at TC&A. It is our “Why” we spend so much time building a safe and healthy dialogue with you within the coaching context. It is “Why” we seek to create meaningful exercises within TC&A to build your confidence in your leadership.

TC&A is intentional with our desire for you to build a relationship with you, as “You Are The Leader Of Yourself…FIRST.” As you fully know and understand more of your strengths and Leadership style, you are able to build healthy and strong relationships with your Partners, Executive Committee, Board, Colleagues, and Team. Certainly, when you “Lead Yourself…FIRST” your personal relationships benefit, as well.

Excited for Our New FYW Group!

Excited for Our New FYW Group!

We are excited for a new group of High School Seniors beginning the FYW program!

Our Seniors are learning “WHO” they are through the Myers Briggs Personality Assessment. They are engaged in understanding how they gain their energy, whether it is through interacting with others (extraversion) or by being more reflective and quiet (introversion). There is no right or wrong way to gain energy. It is important to understand how each student gains energy for their mental health and physical self-care.

Writing to be of service – Releasing attachment to specific outcomes

Writing to be of service – Releasing attachment to specific outcomes

We gave a month’s notice which was, in full transparency, no way deserved. We had endured months of verbal and emotional abuse thinking if … we just worked harder and smarter the owners’ thoughts, words and behaviors would adjust and change. At some point, we really believed they would be proud of the work we had set out to do and the work we had accomplished with our vast experience in the hospitality industry. We were professionals with decades of experience in hospitality and while we had made the business a success with growth and deliverables month after month – it was truly...a beautiful prison. And, we had to escape.

Writing to Be of Service - A Heartfelt Check-in and Guide to Releasing Judgement

We are one month (if not more for some) into social distancing, staying at home, not seeing our family, friends and co-workers. We have been forced into working from home, going to work as essential workers or going to our place of work under limited conditions. Many of us are facing new realities of working overtime and under extreme circumstances. And, at the same time, being expected to instantly create a new normal that works for us, our families and everyone around us.

Staying Present

Staying Present

What a “shared story” we are experiencing within the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a leader and business owner of TC&A – I never would have imagined, “Life and work would look this way…”

And yet, the journey of living and working is one where a COLLECTIVE – “WE” are ALL encountering various hardships and obstacles in both our lives and work.

We Are Listening

We Are Listening

At TC&A we continue to build our capacity for good and healthy communication for the good of all. Recently, I experienced an individual who lacked ALL ability to listen. It was truly astonishing - the lack of listening skills.

I am very aware of strong extraverts who love to talk and be expressive with their thoughts and views. Also, I am very aware of the importance of drawing information from introverts and asking good questions to support them to be part of the dialogue.
